Widow Walk is a great book because it is steeped deep in history, and has the capability to make the reader feel like they are a part of the happenings. It generally so happens that we tend to read up on history as a third person.
We read the stories and happenings from outside, reading events and /5(). This one book, twenty nine, WIDOW'S WALK is far from his best. Even with Hawk and Silverman, it just falls short. Spenser's client is totally unlikeable as are most of the characters. It was just sort of mechanical for me.
